The making of Yarri
‘Yarri’ is the Aboriginal word for ‘Blackbutt’, which has been used through this beautiful restaurant. Chef, Aaron Carr will showcase the making of his famous contemporary dishes via the degustation dining experience here at Yarri. The restaurant features the nature, land and culture of the Noongar people who worked in that region for decades, through the ingredients and preparation of the food.
The co-founders of Snake+Herring, along with Chef, Aaron Carr bring to you – Yarri. They’ve all had a life-long dream to open up a restaurant that offers its customers great food and wine, combined with traditions of the south-west region. Dunsborough is the perfect location for this one of a kind restaurant as it is the gateway to the famous wine region in Margaret River.
Tim and Richard helped the owners of Yarri finance everything from point of sales systems and iPads to refrigeration at the venue. Other items financed include glassware, crockery, tables and chairs, pots and pans, meat slicers, food processors, vacuum packaging and even the beer taps.
